Jaden - always seems to have a straw in her mouth. I guess it is a left over from all the straw she gets all over her body. We should have called her " pig pen".
Bossy geese. They seem to always be in control, even to the ram. He is being told off for being in their spot I would guess.
Rambo - is still a calm and easy to handle ram that is throwing beautiful lambs for us.
Our start in Katahdins - Two little girls that were bottle fed. Mable and Patches.
Jaden loves to roll in the straw.
I guess she thinks I have nothing else to do but brush her.
LaHara is always the pretty girl.
She is a fiber llama and has long
silky wool -perfect for spinning. After we got her in a neglected matted state - we received her papers and found out she was the daughter of the National Grand Champion from a few years back.
Sammy gave us a lovely doe and a very striking colored buck. 3/2014
Our goats love their walk by the pond and down to the woods. Play time and treat time - Healthy for all of us. Has become a favorite time when ever the weather lets us get there. They never get to go alone as we have predators in the area. We have cougar and bobcat from time to time.
Simone gave us three beautiful doe kids in 2014 as a first
freshener. We still have these girls - Dee Dee, Sabrina and Honey. All great milkers.
Samantha loves her little daughter Tabatha. This pair makes my heart warm every time I see them. Samantha
is the doe that broke her leg so badly when she was little. It is a wonder she survived it. Again - Special thanks to Dr. Wes Violet for her care. She was in several different casts for three months.
Everyone likes a trip to the pond and to eat the iris fronds that grow there. Sophie (our collie) loves to go everywhere the goats go.
Something stinks out here! This is Polly and her daughter Mona.
Who do you want next? Always that camera thing, wish we could figure out what she wants?
And then there is the very spoiled little bottle baby that loves the comforts of home. She weighed just under one and a half pounds when she was born and was very weak. Now she is strong and spoiled. Little " Peaches".
We also have some Delaware hens - lovely breed. So tame and easy to handle. They also have the run of the farm but get locked up late afternoon. Usually coming running for treats at that time. We have lots of foxes here and locking up the birds has kept them safe.
